Ben Butler

Ben is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He focuses primarily on financial planning, investment management, and retirement planning. Ben began his work in the financial services industry in 2014 with Mark Cross at Wells Fargo Advisors. Ben followed Mark to Highland Trust Partners in 2015 and has been with them since. He started as a model analyst where he mastered model reporting software and used these programs to update the firm’s partners on model performance and client portfolios. From there he began his work as trade and portfolio operations manager where he processes the firm’s trades and helps manage the firm’s model portfolios.

 

Ben and his wife Caroline, both lifelong natives of Athens, have been married since May of 2019. They welcomed their daughter, Eloise, into the family in August of 2022. Ben graduated in 2019 with a degree in Finance from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. Outside of work, he volunteers as a chapter counselor for Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity where he served as President as an undergraduate. Ben is an avid follower of UGA Athletics and takes any chance he can get to see the Dawgs in action “Between the Hedges” or on the road.
